Virus Protein Protein Interaction Suite

Developing next generation analysis tools for infectious diseases

V I P P I S is a comprehensive platform developed to support researchers, collaborators, and stakeholders working in the field of virology and therapeutic discovery through the exclusive use of Protein-Protein Interaction (PPI) network analysis. The system integrates host-virus and host–host interaction data into a unified computational framework, enabling a deeper understanding of the molecular mechanisms that drive viral infection, replication, immune evasion, and disease progression.

By focusing on PPIs, VIPPIS identifies critical proteins, interaction hubs, and biologically significant pathways that play essential roles during viral pathogenesis. Through network-based analysis, the platform reveals how viral proteins manipulate host cellular machinery and how disruptions within these interaction networks may contribute to disease outcomes.

In addition, VIPPIS supports drug discovery and repurposing efforts by linking known drug targets to key proteins within the interaction network. This allows researchers to prioritize compounds with the highest potential to modulate relevant biological processes and interfere with viral activity. By transforming complex interaction data into actionable insights, VIPPIS provides a valuable resource for experimental validation, therapeutic development, and the advancement of precision antiviral strategies.
